Howard
J. Sandler, M.D.
Dr. Howard Sandler has a keen clinical interest in Prostate Diseases.
He was the second Urologist in the United States to perform Ultra Sound
Guided Implantation of Radioactive Seeds for Prostate Cancer. He
has presented this topic at National Meetings and has taught urologists
from around the country, the techniques of Seed Implantation (Brachytherapy).
He is a member of the Prostate Cancer Research Institute and will be publishing
his pioneer work on Multimodality Therapy for Prostate Cancer.
Dr. Sandler was a participant in a panel discussion on Prostate Cancer
at The American Urological Association
meeting in San Diego, and reviewed the Worldwide Experience of Brachytherapy
for Prostate Cancer.
Dr. Sandler has one of the largest experiences in the country utilizing
minimally invasive treatments for both Prostate Cancer and Benign Prostatic
Hypertrophy. In addition to his work in Brachytherapy, Dr. Sandler
has pioneered, in the state of New Jersey, the use of radio frequency
waves for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy. He has
been featured on numerous network news and Public Television presentations.
