Stephen G. Cohen, M.D. F.A.C.S

Dr. Stephen Cohen attended Alfred University in NY where he recieved his BA in Biology in 1959. He then graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha academic honors at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1963. He completed his internship at Montefiore Hospital in 1964 and residency at Montefiore Hospital NY in 1966, in Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, in Urology and Chief Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1967 – 1970.

Dr. Stephen Cohen is affiliated with Valley Hospital in Ridgewood NJ, where he held positions of Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President and President of Medical Staff, Director of Urology, Member of Medical Board, Committee Chairmanships, Chairman Medical Records Committee, and Chairman Credentials Committee. He is a Trustee of The Valley Hospital Foundation, Daughters of Miriam Home for the Aged, Member Credentials committee American College of Surgeons, and Member Columbia-Presbyterian Health Sciences Advisory council.

Dr. Cohen also held teaching appointments at Mt. Sinai NY where he was an instructor in Urology, and New Jersey College of Medicine in NJ where he was a clinical instructor in Urology. He holds memberships in Bergen and Passaic County Medical Society as well as the New Jersey Medical Society. In addition Dr. Stephen Cohen holds Honors in Undergraduate, Departmental Honors in biology Alfred University 1959, New York Magazine, Best Doctors in NY/New Jersey 1999, New York Magazine, Best Doctors in New York/New Jersey 2000, and New York Magazine Best Doctors in New York/New Jersey 2001.

Dr. Stephen Cohen entered Military service as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Active Duty and served as General Medical Officer from 1964 to 1966.
