David Tsuwei Chang, M.D. F.A.C.S.
Dr. Chang
joined Urology Specialty Care in July, 2000. He graduated from
Harvard with honors in the
biochemical sciences and attended medical school at Columbia University's
Collage of Physicians and Surgeons.
He then completed two years of general surgery and four years of Urology
residency training at the
Columbia Presbyterian campus
of The New York
Presbyterian Hospital,
including one year as Chief Resident of the Squier Urological Clinic. He is
Board certified as a Diplomat of the
American Board of Urology and
has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His
professional memberships also include the
American Urologic Association,
New York Section of the
American Urologic Association,
and the Endourologic Society.
Dr. Chang has been chosen as a
United States Presidential Scholar
and was the recipient of a Research Fellowship from the
National Institute of Health.
He has authored over twenty scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals
such as the
Journal Of Urology, the
Urologic Clinics of North America, and the Journal of the American Collage
of Surgeons. He has also presented several scientific papers at national
meetings of the
American Urologic Association
and the World Congress of Endourology.
Dr. Chang is an attending Surgeon in urology at the
Valley Hospital in Ridgewood,
The St. Joseph's Hospital in
Paterson and
Wayne, and the
Passaic General Hospital. At
The Valley Hospital, he has
been selected to serve on the Medical Oversight Group for the hospital's
Minimally Invasive Surgery Center. He has served on the Infection Control
and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees at
The Valley Hospital and has
also been chosen to serve on the Operating Room Committee and the Surgical
Pathology Tissue Committee at
St. Joseph's Hospital.
Dr. Chang practices all aspects of urology, including urologic oncology
(prostate, kidney, bladder cancer), Laparoscopic surgery, laser surgery for
kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, male infertility, and male and female
voiding dysfunction. He has hours in the Fair Lawn, Englewood Cliffs, West
Paterson, and Clifton offices.
